Wahkiakum County has a variety of events throughout the year that really showcase the strength of the community.

February 11 - Valentine Diamond Dinner, 6 to 9 pm at the Skamokawa Grange Hall. Contact: 360-795-3434. Wahkiakum County Fair Board Fundraising Event. Enjoy a Steak dinner while being entertained by local musicians, not to mention the opportunity to win a diamond necklace.

April 22 - Rosburg Club Chicken Dinner at Rosburg Hall in Rosburg, WA 11:30
am - 2:00 pm, Contact 360-465-2919. This funds raised from this wonderful dinner insures that the hall will be maintained, scholarships will be awarded and more. So if you love chicken with all the trimmings and desserts, this is the place to be.

April 28 - 4th Annual Traditional English Tea & Plant Sale Benefit for St. James Family Center, held at St. James Episcopal Church. 1134 Columbia St., Cathlamet, Contact: 360-849-4181. Celebrate the coming of spring with a traditional English Tea serving traditional recipes for both savory and sweet courses.

May 19 - Annual Great White-tail 5K & 10K Fun Run at JBH Wildlife Refuge in Skamokawa, WA Do you love to run with your dog? Walkers or runners will choose between a 10k, 5k or 2 mile distance with recognition given for overall male and female winners in each event. Ribbons will be awarded to the top three finishers in each age division. This event is a fund raiser for the Wahkiakum based 4-H program and all proceeds will be used to benefit the county program.
