Eighth Annual Buzzards Breath Chili Cook-Off in Cathlamet, WA

Cooks needed!

Pack up and head to the Pacific Northwest.  Spend a day at the Elochoman Slough Marina, on the river showing off your cooking skills!  The Wahkiakum Chamber is sponsoring the Eighth Annual Labor Day “Buzzards Breath” Chili Cook Off in Cathlamet, Saturday September 3, 2011.  We are looking for some more Chili Teams to join us for the fun and activities. Grab your favorite recipe, your cooker, a pot, and head to the Elochoman Slough Marina on the mighty Columbia for a day of food, friends and fantastic chili.

There is no cost to enter and you have the opportunity to win a unique trophy and bragging rights!

Don't cook? Don't let that stop you, there will be plenty of chili to go around and fun for all.  Tortilla Throwing Contest (kids get prizes), Live music, Beer Garden, Rubber Duckie Race Raffle, Cow Plop Raffle (If the cow hits your spot you will win some cash) Wooden Boat Raffle and more!

Cooking starts at 10:00am and the public will start tasting at 1:00 pm with judging at 3:00pm.
